On X (formerly Twitter) and Facebook, I curate JPSS satellite content, sharing daily weather imagery. Working alongside NOAA and NASA-affiliated channels, the JPSS account rolls out campaigns that offer followers a deeper understanding of polar orbiting satellites and Earth science.
If you’d like to view other social media content on JPSS social media platforms, from December 2, 2021 to present day, feel free to check out posts published on the program’s Facebook and X platforms.
JPSS and Landsat social media accounts collaborated on posts, while using the original hashtag #DownToEarth, to showcase how imagery taken from both satellite programs share complementary perspectives on Earth.
From June to November, 2022 I launched a social media campaign that aimed to recognize the new JPSS-2 (now NOAA-21) satellite launch, while using the #JPSS2Launch hashtag on social media platforms. I worked with several satellite partners to collaborate and boost different social media posts.
During February 2022 and 2023, I took part in a #ValentinesDay campaign and worked with team designers on Valentine’s Day cards that would be published on social media, tagging different NASA and NOAA accounts as a fun way to collaborate and boost social media presence.
Impact
Increased follower counts of JPSS satellite social media platforms by approximately 7,000 followers total from November, 2021 to September, 2023 (across both X and Facebook platforms).
